According to weekend reports, one of Gucci’s pals had police come after him early Saturday due to his erratic behavior.

Gucci Mane was arrested this morning for allegedly cussing out a couple of cops in Atlanta while in possession of weed and a gun … TMZ has learned. Gucci Mane — real name Radric Davis — was taken into custody at 12:05 am this morning after one of his friends complained to cops about his erratic behavior. According to the report — the friend waved down police to help out … but when they approached Gucci he began “cursing and threatening them.” We’re told he was immediately taken into custody and police found a small amount of marijuana on the 33-year old rapper … as well as a handgun. Following the arrest, local authorities took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Upon being taken into custody, police reportedly found a small amount of marijuana on Gucci, as well as a handgun. Gucci was booked for carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct, and marijuana possession, TMZ reports. Gucci Mane’s behavior must have been legitimately alarming, because after running him through the system, Atlanta PD then reportedly took him to a hospital as a precaution. (Hollywood Life)

Over the past few months, the Atlanta rapper has made headlines for multiple crime-related incidents.

It’s the latest arrest for the troubled artist, who was indicted in April on an assault charge after he was accused of hitting a soldier in the head with a champagne bottle at Harlem Nights club in downtown Atlanta. He pleaded not guilty. In 2005, Davis was charged with murder in DeKalb County after shooting a Macon rapper he said attacked him. The charges were later dropped. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
