If all goes accordingly, a Brick Squad compilation project should drop this upcoming summer.

“I’m just working on my Brick Squad group album which will drop this summer. It’ll be me, PeeWee Longway, Young Thug, Dolph and of course Chief Keef. I even got songs with Waka on there. I’m just gonna drop a collection of all the best songs we’ve been making. I dropped a mixtape for every artist on my label, so now I feel like it’s just time to put our album together and show everybody the chemistry we got together. [Waka?] There was more of a miscommunication and things got misconstrued. But we got too much of a good thing. Whatever we got to work out, we always work it out.” (XXL Mag)

Gucci also broke down how Chief Keef ended up repping his Brick Squad.

“He a big fan of mine and I just see a lot of potential in him. I feel like all these years I’ve been in the rap game, there’s a lot of things that I wish I could have did a different way. So I just feel like if nothing else, I just want to give him some advice so that he can just enjoy his career. Just show him that trouble is so easy to get into. It’s really more of a big brother thing. There’s a business arrangement of course, but I just really like him as a person. He hard. He for real. The young people take to what’s real, what they perceive as authentic.” (XXL Mag)

The music duo dropped their “Darker” collaboration shortly after Keef joined forces with Gucci.

Gucci Mane is fresh out the clink and tonight drops his first new music since being out. Not only is “Darker” the first song since he has been out, but it also features the most recent signee to Bricksquad, Chief Keef. As you might expect Sosa & Guwop bring out all the levels of the trap gospel on this cut. Gucci’s Traphouse 3 is dropping soon. (Free On Smash)

Earlier this month, Waka discussed his distanced relationship with Gucci.

“I don’t think I’m going to see him in the streets, the sh*t I’m doing. … Mentor? Like, dude said, I ain’t going to go against him — I feel like nobody helped me do sh*t. Not my mama, not Gucci, my first album, Gucci ain’t even on it, period. … I don’t know what secret feelings that man got,” Waka said in an interview. “From my personal opinion it gotta be jealousy or envy or something. [I heard he said his Twitter got hacked?] I guess God hacked it.” (“The Combat Jack Show”)
