Gucci Mane Reveals Who Hacked His Twitter Page

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane is back to his daily Twitter grind and revealed who he believes is responsible for hacking his account with a slew of name-dropping posts.

According to Gucci, a former manager is responsible for compromising his Twitter page.

“My ex manager hack my acct str8 up,” Gucci tweeted September 11. (Gucci Mane’s Twitter)

This week, Gucci’s brother Young Throwback claimed someone hacked Gucci’s Twitter page and suggested it could have been a disgruntled artist or former girlfriend.

“@gucci1017. Eh this gucci brother sum1 hack brah twitter. Yall tr y sabotage brah. Dat messed up let gucci b. GOD kno d truth. Hackers,” YT tweeted September 9.

“14h #guwop dnt know if its a mad artist or ex-girl friend …dz folks evil. @gucci1017.”

“@yungniggabj these niggas been pump faking bro they know we gone stay real always” (Young Throwback’s Twitter)

Coincidentally, reports this week revealed Gucci and his longtime manager had parted ways.

Perhaps most significantly, it also appears Gucci is no longer represented by his longtime manager, Kevin “Coach K” Lee. The two have worked together, on-and-off, since 2010; Coach K remains the manager of Atlanta trio Migos. “It looks like it just wasn’t working out with Coach–which based on the tweets and his behavior, one could see why,” the former rep explained. Some media outlets believes Gucci may have actually been behind the Twitter remarks to indirectly promote his new Diary of a Trap Lord free album.

By goading all of Twitter into a frenzy, drawing in artists who would normally never engage with him and prompting numerous articles full of psychoanalysis, was Gucci just playing us all? There is no such thing as bad press. Was Diary of a Trap God in the works all along? Alternately, did Gucci Mane get into such a huff about his label situation/the (real or perceived) slights of the people he mentioned that he stormed into the studio and knocked out a quick project?
