Upon being a last-minute addition to Lil’ Wayne‘s "I Am Music" tour, Gorilla Zoe recently weighed in on hitting the road with the self-proclaimed "Greatest Rapper Alive."
In an interview with DC Examiner, the Bad Boy South rapper described what the fans’ response has been since joining an already stacked line-up of artists on the tour including T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson and Gym Class Heroes.
"This tour is amazing, man," Zoe told Examiner. "We have thousands of folks coming out. Everybody’s out."
The latest Boyz N da Hood addition also described what audience members should experience from his sound and why he should be considered in a class of his own.
"I really don’t want to make copycat music and that’s what a lot of these artists are doing," he said. "I really don’t want to do that. I refuse to do that. If I’m gonna build a fan base people have to like my music. I’m nobody else."
As previously reported by SOHH, the "I Am Music" tour began earlier this month along the East Coast, and has been scheduled to make stops in Houston, Oakland, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte and other spots before ending in mid-January.
Tickets for the tour can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
"I Am Music" tour’s next stop is tonight (December 29) at Greensboro, North Carolina’s Coliseum Complex.
