Rae offered up some words of encouragement for the grieving A$AP Mob members.

“Losing family members and friends, man, it hurts,” Rae said in an interview. “You don’t know if it’s a penalty or something that’s just a reality. A great friend told me, you know, ‘Yo, at the end of the day, you have to look at a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. It’s life is going into a new life. … I feel A$AP, I feel the Mob in what they’re going through.” (Complex News)

Ghost shed some light on the reality of life and death.

“Time heals all wounds,” Ghost added. “One day, we all gotta go, but everything expires. I just had to sit my man down and let him know, ‘After you done with them sneakers, if you fast-forward, you’re never going to put them on no more.’ That’s gone. These clothes are gone. You fast-forward time right now and watch me, all this is off and new things are coming on and even those goes.’ … It’s the memory that really gets you.” (Complex News)

After cutting a Utah performance short last night (January 24), A$AP Rocky admitted he is currently in a state of mourning.

“That performance –that was just going to stop me from crying,” Rocky said, speaking for the first time in detail about Yams’ death. “I had to address it, because the whole time I was rapping and I wasn’t into it, which is sad, but I just gotta keep it real. I can’t front. It’s even harder knowing that I gotta fly out in less than an hour just to go bury him. That’s the part that eats at me.” (Billboard)

A$AP Mob’s A$AP Ant came forward to rule out Yams overdose reports earlier this week.

“It ain’t no overdose. People stop saying overdose ’cause that’s not what it is. It’s not an overdose. People keep talking about he overdosed on Xanax and shit like that, lean. No, that’s not what happened at all. I don’t wanna talk on it. It wasn’t that though at all.” (VLAD TV)
