According to Boosie, he sought out a hospital on Friday (February 27).

Boosie tells TMZ … he started feeling frail and weak while on his way to a show in Charlotte — and it got bad enough that he decided to go to a hospital to get checked out. He says doctors told him he was extremely dehydrated … and hooked him up with intravenous fluids. His Charlotte gig had to be canceled, but on Saturday morning docs released him and he’s currently trying to rush to a concert he has scheduled for tonight in Georgia. (TMZ)

The Southern rap star released a full music project last October.

Lil Boosie (who apparently prefers to be called Boosie Bad Azz these days) delivers Life After Deathrow, the first project since his long-awaited released from prison earlier this year. The mixtape is light on the guest spots, with only Trey Songz, Yo Gotti, Shy Glizzy and LIV making appearances, but we all know you came here for new Boosie — and there’s a whole 18 tracks from him. A Boosie representative recently confirmed the rapper making a name change.

Lil Boosie is out of prison after more than five years behind bars, and now he’s got a new rap name to go along with all that newfound freedom. On two of his most recent appearances—”Beez Like” off Jeezy’s Seen It All and “Jet Fuel” from T.I.’s “Paperwork”—the Baton Rouge MC has been credited in the liner notes as Boosie Badazz rather than his original name Lil Boosie. Today a rep for the rapper confirmed that the liner notes weren’t an accident, and that they reflected an official name change for him. (XXL Mag)
