According to reports, Game will likely avoid having to pay out a million dollars to his former employee.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said he still needs information on what attempts Karen Monroe has made to get work and how much her therapy is costing. Monroe sued the 35-year-old rapper in July 2013 after he allegedly ranted about her on Instagram, accusing her of neglecting his children and describing her as a “very dangerous baby sitter.” Mitchell said he is unlikely to issue a seven-figure judgment against the entertainer. Back in December, Game caught a break by having a judgement delayed.

A judge today delayed issuing a default judgment against the rapper The Game, who is accused of defaming the former nanny of his children in a rant on Instagram. In what may be the first Instagram libel case, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff gave plaintiff Karen Monroe’s attorney until Feb. 24 to provide more documentation to support her therapy expenses and how she claims she lost income due to damage to her reputation. According to 2013 reports, the nanny went after Game’s head following publicized comments he made about her following termination.

In what might be a first, a celebrity is being taken to court for alleged defamation on Instagram, the popular photo-sharing social media forum. The lawsuit comes from a woman named Karen Monroe who says hip-hop superstar The Game hurt her reputation. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Game previously went on a social media rant about the alleged on-duty misbehavior.

He reportedly went on to list his reasons for dismissing her, adding in one message, “She was BUSTED having sex with her then boyfriend and leaving a used condom & the wrapper in my daughter’s room!!!” Now Monroe, who also worked for hip-hop star Nas, is taking legal action amid claims she lost work as a result of The Game’s attack and received death threats and insults from his Instagram.com followers. In legal papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (24Jul13) her lawyer states: “(The Game) stated that Plaintiff had been fired by him for lying, stealing, screaming at his children, mistreating other children, doing very inappropriate and unbecoming things of a babysitter… “To ensure that Plaintiff was appropriately identified as the target of Defendants defamatory rant, Defendant identified Plaintiff by her name, attached a picture of her on his Instagram account with the caption ‘Beware if this person is watching your children, she is a very dangerous baby sitter’, and listed Plaintiff’s Twitter and Instagram accounts.” (Hollywood)

    • Not really Game/Lame has a very bad habit of going on twitter and slandering people. He did that when the club out here wouldn’t let him in, he went on social media and called the owners racist, he did the same thing with Houston’s steak house. Those were to cases were he could have got sued.
