In addition to Cash Money artists, Game linked with Southern rap newcomer Waka Flocka Flame for his underground project.

“Mixtapes, you don’t mix them joints,” Game said in an interview. “You just throw them out. But Cool wanted to mix them joints, make sure all the vocals and the beats was right, well blended. We dropped the ‘M.I.A’ joint — the LeBron, D. Wade and Chris Bosh joint — on the Internet. The people went nuts. It was the first song talking about that. A shot in the dark I threw out there for the people, man. We buzzin’ … I did a few collaboration. I got something I did with [Lil] Wayne before he left. I got something with Baby. Always gotta have them a part of anything red. Them my dudes. Waka Flocka came through to jump on the mixtape hook. I got some stuff, man.” (MTV)

The cover art to Game’s new mixtape leaked on the Internet earlier this month.

Game dropped his first leak, “M.I.A.”, off the mixtape earlier this week, and now, here is a look at the mixtapes cover. It is predominantly red with Game’s signature style name at the top with “brake lights” in lowercase beneath. DJ Skee‘s name is also featured on the cover as he will serve as the project’s host. The mixtape will be released next week and is to be produced entirely by Cool & Dre. (57th Ave)

Game announced his mixtape being fully produced by Cool & Dre via his Twitter page in early July.

“Every beat on the BRAKE LIGHTS mixtape is produced by @coolanddre & hosted by @djskee. This tape is serious, better than most n!ggas albums.” (Game’s Twitter)

In-studio footage of Game, Drake and Cool & Dre recently landed online.

Cool & Dre were busy in the studio with The Game Wednesday, June 23rd recording a hot new track titled “Good Girl, Bad GirL” at Encore Studios in Burbank, California last week. Cool & Dre have 3 songs on the album titled “THE R.E.D. album.” The single will feature a verse by hip-hop recording star Drake.
