Game posted a photo of Martin onto his Instagram page Wednesday (February 5) to reflect on his memory.

“To day Trayvon Martin would’ve been 19 years old. Happy Birthday & may your soul be carried by angels your entire journey through heaven – The Game,” Game wrote February 5. (Game’s Instagram)

The rapper also reacted to news of Zimmerman being prepared to fight rapper DMX.

“RT @Airborne_23: @thegame so is George Zimmerman gonna fight you or nah? – nah he scared !!! Said DMX more his size,” Game wrote via Twitter February 5.

“RT @cnnbrk: George Zimmerman will fight rapper DMX in 3 rd boxing match says promoter. http://cnn.it/1c2yVQa -scary a** chump! #BloodMoney Expand” (Game’s Twitter)

Prior to being rejected, Game said his interest in fighting Zimmerman would solely stem from loyalty to Trayvon Martin.

The Game will throw his hat in the ring to fight George Zimmerman in the upcoming celebrity boxing match, and he tells TMZ, “I will beat the f**k out of him.” Zimmerman has agreed to the March 1 celebrity boxing match … the promoter hasn’t selected his opponent, but is taking offers at [email protected]. Game says, “I would not be boxing for me. I’d be boxing for the legacy of Trayvon Martin and for his family.” (TMZ)

Last month, Game said Tray’s mother reached out and acknowledged his decision to get a tattoo of her son.

“Yeah, that one’s on my leg. It’s hard to get up because of these jeans,” Game told host Arsenio Hall. “I got him in a hoody. It’s just the picture that everybody knows. It’s him in a hoody. I actually got a text message from his mom, which is cool. She appreciated the gesture. And, you know, I get tattoos all the time and that was just that whole story. I got a kid and I just thought that was so unfortunate, so I did it.” (“Arsenio”)
