From Game’s perspective, fans no longer perceive his Unit references as beef-igniting disses.

“I mean that’s like a joke now, I just went in on 50 and ‘nem, but at this point its not beef,” Game promised in an interview. “We did that. I mean we beefed, but now it’s like I can crack a joke…I’m sure it affects him in some kind of way…Man people don’t understand, that’s what it started as. He just got mad, he got a little jealous that Dre was working more on my album than on his but I didn’t understand that because I thought we were all in it as one big bang, but he tried to kill me…That’s what it was, I ain’t gonna tell you no lie, that’s what it was. So he came at me and I had to defend myself, my honor, my family and keep milk in the refrigerator as I call it.” (All Hip Hop)

Game also pointed out other reasons why he does not consider being in a beef with G-Unit anymore.

“I’ll just say it like this: If you feel like it was a jab and respond to it, then play with your career if you want to,” Game warned. “I know what to do with anybody and their career. Unless you really know, you should keep your mouth closed. “You’ve gotta understand the difference between G-Unit [jabs] and a beef. It was a beef [years ago]. I see 50, nobody is gonna do nothing to him. He sees me, nobody is gonna do nothing to me. It’s over with. The beef is over, but I can still throw a few jabs here and there and poke a little fun. Ain’t nothing wrong with being a comedian of some sorts. That’s all it was. I say maybe eight or 10 bars out of 400. 390 bars about other sh–, and 10 bars worth of jabs ain’t gonna hurt nobody.” (MTV)

Game recently discussed destroying the G-Unit brand when he exited the group in 2005.

“[50] said recently in an interview that he’ll never work with Game again but that’s all him talking and his ego. I can’t wait to mend the ties with Eminem. Me and Eminem had never been at odds but he had to take 50’s side…I killed G-Unit. I killed the clothes, I killed the brand, I killed Tony Ya-Yo, Banks and Buck at that time. Like I really f*cked up a lot of money for that dude. Not only for him but my label, Jimmy Iovine, who at this point, I’m apologetic to.” (Complex)

Last year, 50 said both Game and Young Buck remain on his G-Unit Records.

“Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records, hopefully he can come up with a record. If he can come up with a song, we can get my money back, you know what I’m saying? I hope [Game] can come up with something right quick. I’m looking forward to that check at least. They gotta pay me not to put the [G-Unit] logo on it.” (This Is 50)
