According to Game, multiple television networks have decided to ban the visual.

“So BET “BANNED” the #REDNation video !!!!! Said me & @liltunechi were too gang affiliated in it. Thoughts ?,” he tweeted Monday (May 9).

“This just in: the video so HARD it just got “BANNED” from MtV too ha ha ha ha….F*CK IT !!!! I’m premering it on Thursday online MYSELF !!!”

“Guess ya single gotta be called “Bubble Gum” to get love ha ha ha….#REDNation premiering on AOL, Vivo & Worldstar Thursday.#bannedFromTV”

“Who needs TV channels when you got worldwide fans on twitter @thegame”

“Who needs the they tube when you got “YOUTUBE.com” They banned “ONEBLOOD” then soon as it got over 1,000,000 views on YouTube they jumped on the sack.” (Game’s Twitter)

In early April, Game discussed his music video offering up a doomsday-like setting.

“We shot this real rebel scene. I was over there in a bunch of dirt with rocks, and behind the gate were a bunch of guys I couldn’t see, looking all menacing and scary and [with] bats and sticks and poles,” Game told MTV News on the set. “And that was kinda crazy, man. I was in sort of like an army fatigue thing, doing my thing. But it was fun, man, the first shot — had a lot of fun, got real sweaty ’cause I was jumping around, man. A lotta dust and smoke — it was crazy, man.” (MTV)

Around mid-March, the rapper publicly unveiled his new single to the masses.

Red alert! Game paints the town red with “Red Nation,” the first single from his oft-delayed R.E.D. Album. The Cool & Dre-produced banger samples Zombie Nation‘s techno hit “Kernkraft 400” and features none other than Lil Wayne. “N*ggas would trade their soul to be Drake or J. Cole/Live and die for this sh*t, word to Tupac Shakur‘s halo,” raps the Compton MC before the recognizable chorus kicks in. (Rap-Up)

As far as the album is concerned, Game is looking to drop R.E.D. by the end of summer.

Game released “Purp & Patron,” a 29-track mixtape, last January, but says that his fans’ focus remains on the release of “R.E.D. Album,” which has been pushed back for over a year. “I had a meeting with [Interscope head] Jimmy Iovine last week, and he told me the album was slated for the end of the summer, and it will not be pushed back any more than that. So we’re looking towards late August,” he says. (Billboard)
