West Coast rapper Game has returned to the underground circuit with the announcement of an upcoming Cool & Dre-produced mixtape Brake Lights.

Writing via Twitter, Game claimed his project would out-perform retail albums.

“Here go the 1st single M.I.A. off the me & @djskee new mixtape “BRAKE LIGHTS” hittin streets next week.http://tinyurl.com/2fx7u75,” Game tweeted Thursday (July 15) night.

“Every beat on the BRAKE LIGHTS mixtape is produced by @coolanddre & hosted by @djskee. This tape is serious, better than most n!ggas albums.” (Game’s Twitter)

Footage of Game, Drake and Cool & Dre hit the Internet last month.

Cool & Dre were busy in the studio with The Game Wednesday, June 23rd recording a hot new track titled “Good Girl, Bad GirL” at Encore Studios in Burbank, California last week. Cool & Dre have 3 songs on the album titled “THE R.E.D. album.” The single will feature a verse by hip-hop recording star Drake. Queen Latifah stopped by to hang with the superstars while they were recorded. (Press Release)

Last April, Game talked about replacing DJ Drama with DJ Skee for his Red Room mixtape.

“I immediately called Skee, but he was in Toronto,” Game said about reaching out to Skee once he and Drama amicably agreed to part ways on the project. “He got back, came in and then the tape took a turn left, man. But it’s all good, man, ’cause me and Skee got history. Skee’s at home right now just going in working on it to get it out to the people ASAP. So there ain’t no love lost to Drama, I talk to him. He asked me if there wasn’t gonna be anymore G-Unit disses on the tape and I was like, ‘Not really,’ but I reserve the right to do whatever I want. So it’s probably best that I use Skee.” (MTV)

In June, Skee hit up SOHH to discuss Game’s upcoming R.E.D. Album.

“He’s got crazy records on this new album. He’s got a concept record with Dr. Dre that’s insane, he has this new one that just leaked with Robin Thicke and T.I. He just hit me up and Game has some joints, especially with Pharrell having some heaters on there. He’s been working with a lot of people on it and he just has to figure out what songs are gonna actually make the final tracklising. That’s his biggest problem because he has so many records to choose from.” (SOHH Guest Star)

Game’s R.E.D. Album is set to drop Tuesday, August 24th.
