West Coast rapper Game has cleared the air on a photo he caught fire for a few months ago which featured the late Tupac Shakur and a photo of himself posed next to him as a teenager.

According to Game, he had nothing to do with the photo being manipulated and altered to feature him alongside the music mogul.

The hip hop world was abuzz after rapper Game posted a tribute photo to his Instagram of what appeared to be himself standing with late great legend Tupac. Despite the fervor, Game asserts to VladTV that the pic was sent to him by a fan and was never an attempt to imply that the two West Coast emcees ever linked up; it was merely a way of showing respect to one of the most legendary rappers to ever hop in the booth. Buzz behind the controversial image made waves across the Internet in September.

Yesterday, The Game posted the picture above on instagram on the day of Tupac’s death and claimed that he met Tupac. Whether he met Tupac or not, I don’t really know but an E-detective discovered that The Game actually photoshopped his head onto the picture above and the original picture features a white male, which obviously The Game is not. I am a fan of The Game, but COME ON MAN. Oh, and for proof of this being posted on his instagram and then being deleted. (Fashionably-Early)

Coincidentally, Game posted the image onto his Instagram page with a long personal message about Pac.

“R.I.P. to one of realest n*ggas to ever do it. Ain’t no me without you in this game. The effect you had on the world will forever be appreciated. Your music, your words, your love, your encouragement, your existence in a world full of misguided youth will never be forgotten. I am a better person, poet, friend & father because of the lessons learned through your music.” (Game’s Instagram)

A few years ago, the Cali rapper credited Shakur for inspiring his rap career.

“#if2PACwasALIVE I probably wouldn’t be who I am today. his un-timely death is what motivated me to wanna put this sh*t on my back !!!,” he wrote. “& #ifBIGwasALIVE nobody would be runnin round talkin bout they the KING OF NEW YORK !!! he was hands down that n*gga !!! #ifBIGwasALIVE Tianna & lil CJ would have a father this X-mas ! #if2PACwasALIVE Will Smith wouldn’t have a wife, cuz Jada was Pac’s gyrl….. #realtalk #if2PACwasALIVE he would be 37 years old. #if2PACwasALIVE him & Denzel would be fightin for movie roles…. cuz he was on his way to a OSCAR !!! #if2PACwasALIVE you could hit him @2PAC & he would hit you back just like I do ………. #realtalk #if2PACwasALIVE B.I.G. would still be alive !!! #nuffsaid.” (Game’s Twitter)
