Admitting everything happened practically spur of the moment, Game said he only had hours to put together Wednesday’s headline generating event.

“The planning was all quick, last minute. I woke up today with a different headspace, and I just started planning this at 10 a.m., and we pulled it off by 2 [p.m.]. Four hours to pull all these media outlets, get the school in line, the principal, the bishop from the church to come down. The sun came out, obviously [I’m] sweating here, crazy.” With Game’s success at prepping all these details, he might even get in on the wedding planning himself. Well, maybe. “No, no, no — I’m gonna stay on the Xbox, I’m gonna play ‘Madden,’ I’m gonna let her plan it all the way out, and then I’m gonna go overseas and get whatever she needs so she can successfully have the wedding of her life,” Game said. He also defended his decision to end his bachelor’s life.

“As a man, this is that day where you throw your player card away and you kinda gotta step up and be a family man, and she deserves it,” Game told MTV News immediately following the proposal. “It’s been a long run, and we’ve been together at least seven years. We’ve been off, we’ve been on, we’ve been arguing, we fought. We had good times and bad times, and I think that at the end of the day, as a man, this is something that I owed to her and I owed to my family, so it was time.” (MTV)

Footage from the marriage proposal emerged online late Wednesday.

The “Hate It or Love It” hitmaker surprised his girlfriend of seven years, Tiffany Cambridge, with a proposal on Wednesday, October 12 afternoon, and camera crews were present at Frank D. Parent Elementary school in Inglewood, California to document the special moment. In the two-minute video, the rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, got down on one knee after Tiffany walked into a room where he, their children, close friends, co-workers and a few camera crews were waiting. Looking a little nervous, he quickly pulled out a ring from his pocket and asked her to marry him. (Ace Showbiz)

The occassion took place around a crowd of onlookers.

“I want to ask you, will you marry me,” he said holding the ring toward her hand. “Oh, yes I can,” she responded as he slipped the ring on her finger. The crowd cheered and applauded. Finally, the couple kissed and embraced. Then someone shouted “let me see the rock, yes that’s a rock,” which was followed by laughter. (BET)
