West Coast rapper Game has come forward to clear up his image following a dicey Instagram post he allegedly made aimed at two slain New York police officers this weekend.
Despite the widespread speculation, Game denied trying to stir up any controversy with the murder reference.
Check out Game’s original post right here…
Game initially posted a screenshot about the New York police officers’ slayings Saturday (December 20).
According to reports, the murders were in relation to controversial verdicts in the now-infamous Eric Garner and Michael Brown deaths.
Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon as they sat in their marked police car on a Brooklyn street corner — in what investigators believe was a crazed gunman’s assassination-style mission to avenge Eric Garner and Michael Brown. (NY Post)
Some reports claim there were early social media warnings of the attack happening.
Police investigators have said the killings were the work of a 28-year-old black man with a long arrest record who may have had past mental troubles and who warned of his intentions on social media. The gunman’s posts on Instagram indicated he had been motivated by the deaths of 18-year-old Michael Brown and Eric Garner at the hands of police officers. (Yahoo News)
Glad he didn’t apologize. He did nothing wrong.
This guy chases 18 yr olds.
Real Shyt! Props my ngga
Damn those cops were wearing I can Breathe shirts? How tasteless.
What he said, “Y’all can’t breath either “was perfect. In a way I’m glad the brother who killed them is already dead. That way they can’t make a circus out of his trial where they virtually drag him thru the streets to be pelted with stones and rocks….by the “righteous white folks”. Plus we don’t have to hear weeks and weeks of how these poor little innocent cops lost THEIR lives for nothing. I’m not saying I want brothers to risk their lives killing cops but this is a lot more effective than protesting and destroying insurance covered property.
BTW someone should make “Y’all can’t breath either” t-shirts like today and sell them!
“I’m not saying I want brothers to risk their lives killing cops but this is a lot more effective than protesting and destroying insurance covered property.”
The two cops in question had nothing to do with the death of Garner or Brown. Hell, those motherfuckers weren’t even white.
Exactly, a senseless death, that’s the message. It conveys our feelings exactly. Dying over maybe, possibly selling loose cigarettes? Maybe a more potent message if they were white or Italian, but their code of silence makes them all guilty as far as I’m concerned. There is a cold, callous reaction to our deaths, then it should be reciprocated. “Oh well he was just a thug”. Then our reaction should be, “they were probably corrupt cops anyway”.
Conveys whose feelings? The families of both victims have said they don’t want any violence being attached to this, because it serves only to hurt the cause. We have this thing in the U.S. called due process and innocent until proven guilty.
The Mike Brown situation was handled as it should have been. The Eric Garner situation, not so much, but killing officers in response to this simply does not truly change anything. You kill him, and then what? Whatever socio-economic factors that led to Eric Garner having to stand on street corners selling cigarettes and being arrested 31 times isn’t going to be addressed. It makes about as much sense as thinking just because a black president is elected, we’re out of the woods.
This ultimately boils down to us as a people [If we so choose to call ourselves that] holding ourselves accountable for the way our communities are, and the illusions we condition our young to chase after.
I’m all for “holding ourselves accountable”, I always say we need to practice group economics and take control of our own communities. I am highly critical of the illusions we condition our young to chase after, whether its drug kingpin or some one dimensional gangsta rapper etc. I also don’t believe in this illusion that the US will ever live up to its own ideals. Its not in the best interest of those TRULY in power to do. “Due process and innocent until proven guilty” gtfoh, don’t make me throw up. The justice system has ALWAYS been a joke and forever ever will be. Don’t give me that “its not perfect, but it works” bullsh!t either.
And don’t ask “whose feelings” as if you don’t know.
This isn’t going to be some long drawn out debate, this is just reality. And opinions won’t change anything. Its clearly an “cause and effect” situation.
Actually, as a God-fearing individual, I don’t believe any man-made system can replace the 613 laws. We’re living under a Pagan system, when you think of it, not only the laws, but also culture in general, with how we portray people. I believe even though the United States advertises itself as “one nation, under God”, we’re about as far from God as it gets. But that’s a deeper philosophical discussion.
“AND “due process and innocent until proven guilty” gtfoh, don’t make me throw up. The justice system has ALWAYS been a joke and forever ever will be. Don’t give me that “its not perfect, but it works” bullsh!t either.”
That’s part of the hypocrisy: we allow the establishment to teach our children in speculative science books that they are simply animals suspended on some rock in the middle of nowhere, then act surprised when we are treated like animals with things like segregation of the rich and poor. You can’t have both evolution and unquestionable morality, because the excuse will always be that people are flawed. We either have a relationship with our creator, or we don’t.
“Don’t ask “whose feeling” as if you don’t know.”
Okay then.
“This isn’t going to be some long drawn out debate, this is just the reality of the situation. And opinions won’t change anything. This is clearly an “cause and effect” situation.”
This is a discussion, not a debate. The reason I take issue with what you suggest [Killing police officers is okay] is because it’s directed at those put in place by the system, not the system itself. It’s the equivalent of going to a doctor for a cure and he simply treats the symptoms. What you [And too many other people] advocate for is putting a bandaid on the problem.
It’s the proverbial missing the forest for the trees.
I was listening until you said Mike browns case was handled as it should have been… Um no it wasn’t the DA gave erroneous instructions to the jury but the da shouldn’t have even been involved in bringing the case before a grand jury anyway because there was a conflict of interest brought about by the fact of having lost police officer dad to a black assailant. Furthermore, this was one of the only grand juries I’ve ever heard off where a defendant was allowed to bring any type of evidence in front of the jury including testimony. That just doesn’t happen at grand juries sorry. So before you keep rolling with the opinion that the Mike Broan case was handled properly stop being a guided sheep and look at the basic FACTS of how it was handled. Try using google scholar instead of google if you need to learn about laws in fact just start reading instead of listening
Also it has recently been released that the prosecutor knowingly used the account of a witness who lied in defense of the cop.
Dam what u went to law school lol
It doesn’t take law school to know the law. I do have a degree but even without one you need to be aware of the law and know your rights. It’ll get you a lot further than reading blogs and being an internet goon.
Nah sista I was actually impressed
How smart u are I was not trying to be funny
Well put Game! That explanation was dope and hopefully puts people in their place
Why is it that now that two police have been profiled Nd killed we’re supposed to be remorseful, sympathetic, and denounce the shooter but black people been getting killed based on racial profiling forever and we’re supposed to just get over it. TFOH. When it comes to them “they’re not all the same” but when it comes to us “WE’RE playing the race card”. Miss me with the bs…
