Writing via Twitter, Game expressed his feelings toward Compton, California.

“It aint easy makin it out the hood. Some people make it out in bags, Some people make it out in cuffs & few make it out livin their dream,” Game tweeted Saturday (October 23).

“I chose Option C. Lost alot on the way up the ladder, but I never stopped climbing. #theTOPaintFarfromtheBottom”

“The streets gotta eat. It swallowed two of my brothers, my cousin, my uncle & my best friend. Sometimes I just wanna say “F*CK COMPTON”

“But, it made me who I am. & without it…. Who would I be. I don’t wanna know, too late to turn back now !” (Game’s Twitter)

Last week, Game tweeted about his struggles with fame.

“So if you feel your life has purpose & you have a “DREAM” … F#ck waitin til tomorrow to begin your journey.. Get yo azz up & get it people”

“I say dis because a close friend witta bright future just made a mistake 2day dat will cost him da rest of his life!#25toLIFEishisfuturenow”

“Im a person, same as u. Are daily duties & obligations much the same. Being “FAMOUS” is over-rated. I’d give anything to be like y’all again” (Game’s Twitter)

The rapper is currently preparing the release of his new album, R.E.D.

“I think I should stop saying when the album is gonna be released and just say ‘when it’s released, just pick it up,’ man. And I think that no matter how long people wait, we’re not gonna get into aDetox situation and wait over 10 years for that…August 24th was real realistic to me until I started touring. Before I get really locked into it, when I get home on the 8th man…you know, it might still be the 24th once I talk to [Interscope CEO] Jimmy Iovine. He’s overseas and he gets back when I get back so I’ma sit down with him and have a meeting and we’ll play everything I got. I think I’m missing my huge single like “My Life,” or “Hate It or Love It,” or “One Blood.” And I think I really need to find that…Like I’m looking for a cross between “One Blood” and “Hate It or Love It.” And I think that it wouldn’t be successful or right for me if I put my album out before that.” (Complex)

It has previously been delayed from an early July release date.

The R.E.D. Album was originally due in stores on June 15th, but that date was changed to June 29th. The next release date given for the rapper’s fourth studio album was listed as July 6th, but that date has been pushed back as well. While an exact release date has yet-to-be confirmed, the album should land in stores this Summer. According to sources close to Game, he canceled a series of listening sessions slated to take place this week, so that he could focus on recording new material for the R.E.D. Album. (All Hip Hop)
