West Coast rapper Game may have a new album in stores but today he is making headlines for getting accused of punching a man in the face earlier this week.
Footage of the Los Angeles incident has already leaked online.
The Game has been accused of punching a man in the face in front of a Hollywood nightclub early Tuesday morning … law enforcement sources tell TMZ. We’re told the rapper has been named in a police report … filed by a man who claims he was attacked by The Game in front of Colony nightclub. TMZ obtained footage of the incident — which shows The Game engaged in a physical altercation … but it’s unclear if the rapper actually threw a punch. After the initial skirmish, a fired up Game can be seen yelling in frustration — and was restrained by his friends. We’re told the LAPD is investigating the incident … but no arrests have been made. So far, no word from The Game himself — but people close to the rapper tell us he denies hitting anyone. (TMZ)
The news comes days after Game apologized and had a criminal investigation against him dropped by the local Sherriff’s Ddepartment.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday abruptly ended its investigation into rapper The Game less than a week after a message from his Twitter account jammed calls for hours at the Compton station. Sheriff’s officials noted that The Game’s decided to apologize for the incident. [Updated at 6:04 p.m.: Capt. In April, he was detained by Canadian officials for allegedly violating their laws.
“This just in: I’m being detained in Canada for 14 days until they process my inadmissability then I’ll have a hearing heard by a judge,” Game tweeted April 20th.
“At that point the judge will decide to either deport me or give me a sentence for violating Canada’s immigrant entry laws.”
“F%cked up situation !!! But at least they let me call home, &tweet before they lock a n!gga up !!! Gotta turn in my property, y’all be kool”
“Gotta give up my phone & property. This some straight bullsh*t ! Flew all the way from LA to be denied and detained ?!?! WTF” (Game’s Twitter)
Outside of legal matters, Game is currently promoting his new R.E.D. Album and working on a follow-up LP.
“Me and Game was in the studio yesterday,” Mars revealed. “We did two songs. That’s coming along crazy. We’re going to have no features: It’s just him rapping. No name dropping, no little things people say is cliché about Game. It’s just putting on the boxing gloves and going for what we know.” (MTV)
