While admitting he trusts 50’s decisions, 40 said he sees the latest signings as what the future has to offer.

“I mean, they dope. Fif, he’s the boss of his whole movement,” 40 explained in an interview. “I accept whatever he do, as far as he bringing all newcomers and all tha — He’s a pretty good judge of character. Some of them, I’m just meeting myself. I just met Kidd Kidd and I just met Genasis. They good dudes, they the new young youth coming up. They got muscle support.” (Futuristic Blogger)

A few weeks ago, 50 confirmed speculation claiming he inked West Coast rapper Genasis to his team.

“@genasisishere is the newest artist signed to G-UNIT records. He has different sound and style every body’s gonna like. #SK,” he tweeted July 21st.

“It funny to see people hate when they see a new artist get a shot. There so selfish but there’s aways room for new artist in hip hop #SK”

“@genasisishere watch the hate turn into love its always like this. Congratulations you on now. #SK” (50 Cent’s Twitter)

Around mid-July, the G-Unit boss defended his decision to sign New Orleans’ Kidd Kidd.

“Them boys down in New Orleans, they’re active,” 50 said in an interview. “It’s a lot goin’ on down there, and because I experienced it, I didn’t move away from it. I actually ID’d with the situation a little more. He got hit six times, he got a [colostomy] bag on now … Columbia [Records], when that situation took place with me, they walked away from me just because they’re not familiar with the actual environment and what happens at different points — It don’t make me no difference: I understand it.” (MTV)

Although Shawty Lo is on the team, 50 recently shutdown rumors suggesting veteran rap Lil Kim is on G-Unit.

“She’s not actually signed to G-Unit,” 50 explained in an interview. “We didn’t even have discussions about that. I heard it, I heard people say it too. It was just like, there was no reason to give confirmation for something that didn’t actually happen at all. Like, when people say Shawty Lo is signed to G-Unit, they think that he’s actually signed an artist deal directly to G-Unit when the project that we’re doing is a lot bigger. It’s a jointventure.” (Headkrack)
