G.O.O.D Music's Kid Cudi has reportedly lost sole custody of his daughter after a long back-and-forth legel war with an ex-girlfriend finally came to an end.
According to reports, Cudi has removed himself from the feud and accepted his limited custody role.
Kid Cudi’s waving the white flag in his bitter custody dispute with his baby mama — agreeing to let his baby mama take full custody of their daughter … TMZ has learned. The custody war has been quietly raging on for over a year — with Cudi and his baby mama arguing back and forth over who should get full custody. Cudi said he got a place in Chicago just to be close to his daughter and her mother — and provided his daughter with generous support — but his baby mom said that was BS, insisting Cudi was provided “sporadic and inconsistent amounts” of support … and was an absentee dad. Although these details are just now surfacing, it all reportedly went down last August.
In court docs, she also claimed Cudi has violent tendencies and a “long history of consistent drug and alcohol abuse.” The two parties finally agreed to disagree on August 3rd — and Cudi let his baby mama take full custody. In return, she agreed to let him have visitation. Cudi will also pay child support. Calls to Cudi’s camp were not returned. (TMZ)
Last spring, Cudder brought out his daughter at a Cleveland concert.
Kid Cudi performed a free show in Cleveland on Thursday as part of the 2012 induction festivities for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Toward the end of the show he brought his daughter Vada out on stage to introduce her to the crowd. Back in September 2010, Cudi revealed why he kept his first-born a secret.
“There’s another thing people don’t know. I have a daughter, born March 26th of this year. Her name is Vada, and she’s f*cking awesome. That was eating me up, and it was stressing me out that nobody knew about her. I was trying to escape from that, too. Just trying to figure it out and make everyone happy, it’s a lot for somebody my age to handle. I was manning up and dealing with it in what I thought was the right way, but it was the wrong way. I want to be around for her. I can honestly say she was the wake-up call. The reality that it’s bigger than just you now–you have a responsibility and there’s no more time for mistakes.
