Atlanta rapper Future has some serious bragging rights. The hip-hop superstar’s recent chart-topping success has placed him in an elite class with music icons The Beatles and Prince.
According to reports, Future Hendrix has made history for his recently released self-titled and HNDRXX albums.
According to Billboard, Future is now just the 10th musician in history to place albums at Nos. 1 and 2 simultaneously, and he is in some pretty impressive company. He joins fellow artists Peter, Paul & Mary, Herb Alpert, The Monkees, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Jim Croce, Guns N’ Roses, Nelly and Prince as the latest musician to have a pair of albums all the way at the top of the tally. Recently, the rap star killed rumors about a third surprise album coming soon.
” I’ve gotten a great response. It’s a great time… being able to do something different and stepping outside the zone people normally see me in. I think that’s what’s most special about it,” Future said referring to his two latest solo album releases. “There is no third album.” (Complex)
A few days prior, Future boasted about his chart-topping ability.
Last month, Future’s camp shut down speculation of another surprise album arriving in the coming days.
