French Montana Still Ain’t Worried ‘Bout Nothin’ After NY Arrest [Video]

Bad Boy Records’ French Montana is not losing any sleep after finding himself in a pair of handcuffs last week in New York City following a pre-Super Bowl weekend event.

According to Montana, police took him into booking last week over an outstanding warrant.

Rapper French Montana was as nonchalant as could be walking the streets of NYC Tuesday … laughing off his arrest during Super Bowl weekend. No one knew he had been busted … but turns out French was popped early Saturday morning in Times Square because of a 5-year-old warrant for driving on a suspended license. French was taken to the pokey and bailed out soon thereafter. When you watch the video, you’ll be hard pressed to find a happier defendant. (TMZ)

A few days ago, fellow rappers Jadakiss and Chinx Montana resorted to social media outlets to update fans on their situations.

UPDATE: French, Chinx and Jadakiss have all been released from police custody. They took to Twitter and Instagram to confirm: @ChinxMusic – “Fresh out the bookings, I’m back to BOOKING #FEELINGS ” @TheRealKiss “Out of all the things in the world to wish on somebody, JAIL isn’t one if them… #stop sweating” (VIBE)

Details of the unexpected takedown initially surfaced online Saturday (February 1).

Have you ever seen someone so happy under arrest? Details are murky, but French Montana was booked last night at B.B. King Bar & Grille. The venue played host to Funkmaster Flex’s “Tunnel” revival. Apparently, Jadakiss and Chinx Drugz were cuffed as well. Stay tuned. (Rap Radar)

Radio station personality Miss Info also took note of the unexpected takedown.

“Yo! All these corporations want rappers to shine at their #SuperBowl parties, but the #hiphop cops are out tying everyone up. SMH.,” Info tweeted February 1.

“FREE @FrencHMonTanA! FREE @ChinxMusic! FREE @TheRealKiss!! #SuperBowl #HipHopProfiling” (Miss Info’s Twitter)

Some reports claim the arrests stemmed from outstanding warrants.

Details are scarce, but as of Saturday morning (Feb. 1), all three rappers are still in custody. Miss Info, a source for breaking news, revealed the information about the arrests Friday night via Twitter. Apparently the rappers were leaving the club when cops were waiting for them outside due to outstanding warrants each had. (The Boom Box)
