Bad Boy Records’ French Montana recently offered up some details behind his upcoming “Freaks” Nicki Minaj collaboration and revealed when fans can expect the steamy joint effort to drop.
If all goes accordingly, Montana said the duet would arrive within the next few days.
“It will drop next week,” Montana promised in an interview. “We kind of redid the Lil Vicious and Doug E. Fresh song, ‘Freaks,’ and it will be Top 40 [charts] number one. We just working. Look out for Excuse My French, dropping April 16th. We just here, man, you know. French Montana, hottest in the street. [How’s Nicki’s verse?] Wheeew. You gotta hear it, you know, with the song. It’s called ‘Freaks,’ so you know what she’s talking about. I ain’t telling you, I’ll let her tell you on the record.” (Rap-Up TV)
He also used the opportunity to boast about his connection to the fellow Empire State native.
“Me and Nicki’s from the same city,” Montana added, referring to their New York roots. “She’s the hottest chick to come out, I’m the hottest dude to come out my city in a long time so I’m proud of everything she’s doing. No front, this song is bigger than just a song. It’s two people that made it out of my city, that came together, you know what I’m saying, that made a dope song together and she is one of the best to do it as a female.” (Rap-Up TV)

French Montana has a shaking single up his sleeve. The Coke Boys general is set to release his new single “Freaks,” co-starring everyone’s favorite Barbz in Nicki Minaj. Set to appear on his oft-delayed Excuse My French debut album (due this spring), Frenchie’s new collaboration follows his current “Marble Floors” cut with Rick Ross, Lil’ Wayne and 2 Chainz. French Montana has revealed the official album cover for his debut album Excuse My French. The project which has suffered a few push backs looks to finally be making it’s way to store shelves on April 16th. The album artwork was revealed on producer Young Chop‘s Instagram account and features a younger version of the New York based rapper approaching the state he currently represents. (Rap Dose)
