Although French considers himself a fan of everyone’s music, he vows no other artist’s LP comes close to what he is delivering.

Rick Ross and [Diddy] are both executive-producing the album,” French said in an interview. “I feel it’s going to be a classic. I feel like it’s going to be the best album to come out in a decade. … The album of the decade because it’s just it. I heard everybody’s album and I’m a fan of everybody and I just don’t feel like nobody came out with an album like this.” (Rap-Up TV)

Back in September, Montana proclaimed the solo effort would be the best East Coast release in years.

“Dis album is da best thing to come out da east coast in a decade I did it for all my n*ggaz dat couldn’t be here #realn*ggaz#excusemyfrench,” he tweeted September 12th. (French Montana’s Twitter)

Last year, he talked about bringing New York hip-hop back to the forefront.

“It’s been so long for a New York artist to really [have an impact] that it seems like there’s been a dark cloud over New York and the East Coast,” Montana said in an interview. “It’s a blessing that me and other East Coast artists are finally getting our shine again. Artists like Meek Mills (who is from Philadelphia), myself…everybody. We just need more support, that’s all. A song like ‘Shot Caller’ is East Coast…it even has the Lords of the Underground sample from “Funky Child.” But it’s important that we make sure we also make music for everybody else like I did with “Choppa Choppa Down.” (VIBE)

If all goes accordingly, the LP will arrive on store shelves this spring.

French Montana has revealed the official album cover for his debut album Excuse My French. The project which has suffered a few push backs looks to finally be making it’s way to store shelves on April 16th. The album artwork was revealed on producer Young Chop’s Instagram account and features a younger version of the New York based rapper approaching the state he currently represents. (Rap Dose)
