While the LP is not due until November, Montana said he has actively pieced together his long-awaited studio release.

“[It will be] Mac & Cheese, and it’s like a follow up to all my mixtapes that I had. I got Kanye on the album, I got will.i.am on the album, I’ve got Durk on the album and Chinx,” he revealed. And what’s it been like working with Yeezy? “I love it — we’ve been working on his album and mines so we’re just going back and forth.” So far, French says that they’ve banked about five tracks, and it seems like we’ll be hearing the first one on his project. Picking up where his previously free download projects left off, Montana said his upcoming release would cater to his fans’ high expectations last January.

Montana has recently worked with a range of artists, from Miley Cyrus to will.i.am, and is tapping into his eclectic Rolodex for Mac & Cheese 4, including a track with Macklemore called “Nightmare.” But the one person who he really wants is mostly unattainable. “The only person I wish I could work with right now is Max B,” Montana says about his beloved, incarcerated mentor. The New York native also hinted at plans to work with Kanye for a joint record.

Elsewhere, French is collaborating with high-profile artists on their projects including Rick Ross‘s Mastermind and Kanye West’s next album. “We’re supposed to be working on a couple of songs together for his album,” he says of working with West. “He got a special project coming out.” It’s unclear what project Kanye is working on but the rapper/producer has mentioned a new eight-song album previously, and was recently spotted in studio sessions with Tyga. Montana released an underground project to the masses back in early January.

French Montana drops his new mixtape Coke Boys 4. It’s a family affair as the 29-year-old rapper from South Bronx also brings along his crew that shares the same namesake as the mixtape title. Chinx Drugz, Lil Durk, Cheeze, and Flip are all present on this latest installment, as well as outside veteran MC’s like Jadakiss and the always-enthusiastic Diddy. With French riding high off his debut album Excuse My French and hit single “Ain’t Worried About Nothin'” in 2013, he looks to set a similar tone of success in 2014 with Coke Boys 4. (Complex)
