In the clip, Gunplay is shown in slacks and a white button-down shirt.

It was a somber day on Thursday when Maybach Music Group rapper Gunplay turned himself in to the Miami-Dade Police Department on a May warrant stemming from a robbery. While the Carol City Cartel rapper didn’t say much, in an exclusive video that MTV News has obtained of Gunplay turning himself in, the emotions are written all over his face. Gun, dressed in a white dress shirt and black dress pants, with a red and green Gucci belt, exits a white SUV with his lawyer and a few loved ones on his way toward a Miami police precinct. The Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed to MTV News that on Thursday, the Rick Ross protégé turned himself in and now faces armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault charges and is currently being held with no bond. The incident most likely happened in May, when the warrant was originally issued for Gunplay’s arrest, but it is unclear at the time. (MTV)

Details of his incarceration flooded the Internet yesterday.

Rick Ross protégé Gunplay turned himself in to a Miami jail moments ago after a warrant was issued for his arrest, stemming from an armed robbery — Gunplay’s attorney tells TMZ. The warrant was issued in May, listing “robbery” as the offense. No other details about the alleged offense are listed. Gunplay’s attorney Mike Grieco tells us, “Gunplay voluntarily surrendered today without incident. There’s been an open arrest warrant for armed robbery with a firearm.” A rep for Gunplay tells TMZ, the rapper was advised to turn himself in by his attorney following the highly-publicized brawl, which likely drew police attention to the active warrant. Initial reports suggested he may have turned himself over a day prior.

Gunplay is taking the term “troubled rapper” to a whole new level. Barely a week after being caught on camera getting his ass kicked by 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew , the Maybach Music rapper is heading to jail today for an outstanding arrest warrant on armed robbery and assault charges. The report was announced by Power 105.1 Angela Yee–and later clarified by DDotOmen , who released the below image of the charge sheet. (Prefix Mag)

Coincidentally, the Maybach Music Group member dropped a new track called “Rap Sheet” this week.

Talk about life imitating rap. Gunplay unleashes a new song “Rap Sheet” boasting about his criminal ways (“Your rap sheet ain’t longer than your gun. Check mine!”) just as news breaks that he is turning himself into authorities on outstanding charges. Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” shared the ironic news this morning that the Maybach Music Group rapper will be surrendering to law enforcement officials for outstanding warrants against him for armed robbery and assault charges. He reportedly doesn’t know what the punishment for his offenses will be or how long he may be incarcerated. (Rap-Up)
