According to the “Boss,” issues related to communication and organizaiton fueled his decision.

Now, it looks like the threats may not have played a part, after all: Ross has canceled the remainder of his MMG tour, with his reps citing “apparent lack of organization and communication on the part of the tour promoter. I want to apologize to all of my fans who I missed performing for due to the cancellations and want to let them know that I will get back to their cities. I enjoyed my experience with my little bros Wale and Meek Mill and I’m ready to get back in the studio to make good music. The tour was scheduled to go through December 16. (Idolator)

A couple days ago, Ricky Rozay hopped on Twitter to address the nixed North Carolina show.

“North Carolina I wuz so excited to perform tomorro wit #MMG Promoters cancelled show but I’ll be Back ASAP. #luv,” Ross tweeted late Thursday (December 6) night. (Rick Ross’ Twitter)

Reports of death threats aimed at Ross surfaced online Thursday.

A Maybach Music Group concert tour headlining Rick Ross was scheduled to appear Friday in Greensboro and Saturday at the Bojangles Coliseum. Rappers Wale and Meek Mill were scheduled to appear as well. The theats stem from the Gangster Disciples, who have a beef with Ross. The North Carolina Chapter recently put out a YouTube video warning him to stay out of Charlotte. (Charlotte Observer)

Reports claim the gang associated to Ross’ death threats have connections to Chicago’s Chief Keef.

It’s not the first run-in with hip-hop for the Gangsters Disciples this year. The Chicago rapper Chief Keef has hinted a connection with the rival gang Black Disciples, and was widely criticized for mocking the death of the MC Lil Jojo, who reportedly had Gangster Disciples connections.
