According to reports, Flo will be required to attend a substance abuse program.

Flo Rida just scored big in his DUI case — TMZ has learned, the rapper struck a sweet deal with prosecutors that will land him in a classroom … rather than a jail cell. An attorney for Mr. Rida was in court today — and got the judge to send Flo to a first-time offenders program instead of the slammer … a thing called “Back on Track,” which entails a bunch of stuff like substance abuse classes, counseling, community service, and drug testing. Under the deal … if Flo completes all the program requirements, prosecutors will knock the DUI charge down to a lesser charge — reckless driving. Not bad. (TMZ)

Details of his summer arrest hit the Internet in early June.

Law enforcement sources say … Flo Rida was driving around in his red and black Bugatti — valued around $1.7 million — when cops observed the rapper swerving in his lane and pulled him over around 3:30 AM. During the stop, cops detected the odor of alcohol — so Flo was given a field sobriety test … and didn’t perform very well. Flo — real name Tramar Dillard — was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to a nearby station where he is currently being booked. Sources tell us Flo’s blood alcohol level was more than double the legal limit. (TMZ)

Additional reporting claimed Flo drove with a suspended license.

The South Florida rap artist and entertainer who goes by the name of Flo Rida was arrested early Thursday in Miami Beach on a drunk driving charge, WTVJ-Ch. 6 reported. The 31-year-old singer whose real name is Tramar Dillard, of Miami Gardens, was arrested on South Beach about 4 a.m. on charges of DUI and driving with a suspended license, the station reported. Flo is most known for building a strong buzz around the mid-2000’s.

Flo Rida, unsurprisingly a native Floridian, is an MC who toured as a teenager with 2 Live Crew’s Fresh Kid Ice and began popping up on high-profile mixtapes by 2006, most notably DJ Khaled‘s We the Best– on “B*tch I’m from Dade County,” he appeared with the likes of Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Trina, and Dre (of Cool & Dre). Signed to the Atlantic-distributed Poe Boy that year, he recorded Mail on Sunday, which was released in March of 2008. “Low,” featuring T-Pain, was the album’s lead single; it reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100. A year later he returned with the album R.O.O.T.S. (Route of Overcoming the Struggle), featuring the massive club hit “Round.” Only 1 Flo, Pt. 1 appeared in 2010 with some tracks produced by dance music star David Guetta. (All Music)
