Southern rapper Flo Rida has found himself in the middle of a paternity dispute as a woman is claiming he is the father of her son.
Details of the paternity case landed online Sunday (July 24).
Mr. Rida is accused of fathering a son with a woman named Gloria Halloway. The kid was born earlier this year. Flo’s attorney, Sandy Becher, tells TMZ … the rapper took a paternity test last month that ruled him out as the boy’s father … but he used a pseudonym to protect his identity. But Halloway isn’t buying it — claiming she has yet to see a document with Flo’s REAL NAME on it … and her lawyer, Damon McDougal, tells us, “There is absolutely nothing to indicate that [Flo Rida] was sampled.” (TMZ)
Flo took a paternity test to prove he is not the father, however, he did not use his real name.
Although a paternity test was not taken via a court of law, the “Club Can’t Handle Me” rapper’s lawyer tells TMZ he took a test last month, proving he’s not the one. The problem with the test is the 31-year-old used a pseudonym instead of his real name Tramar Dillard. As a result, Halloway’s lawyer says there’s no evidence to prove the Florida party man is not the child’s father. Sounds like he may be in court again soon. (BET)
Outside of baby mama drama, Flo was arrested on a driving under the influence charge last month.
The South Florida rap artist and entertainer who goes by the name of Flo Rida was arrested early Thursday in Miami Beach on a drunk driving charge, WTVJ-Ch. 6 reported. The 31-year-old singer whose real name is Tramar Dillard, of Miami Gardens, was arrested on South Beach about 4 a.m. on charges of DUI and driving with a suspended license, the station reported. He was later released on bail but given strict traveling freedom.
Flo Rida was released from jail after he posted $2,000 bail and obtained a signed court order allowing him to travel to Asia for a series of previously scheduled concerts in Bangkok over the weekend. (Wikipedia)
