The new album out-sold his past effort, J.O.S.E. II, which debuted on the charts last October.

Terror Squad leader Fat Joe’s Jealous Ones Still Envy Part II got off to a rocky start landing at No. 73 this week. With seven days to his name, Joey Crack’s latest effort has sold 8,300 copies. (SOHH Sales Wrap)

Joey Crack blamed internal problems with a Capitol Records executive as a reason behind the record’s poor promotion.

“I had signed with Capitol through a guy named Neal Levine, but he took a promotion at Sony and left. The new guy that took over, immediately me and him didn’t get along. We had bad words with each other, so he pretty much told me, ‘Yo, you are going to see how I do you!’ That meant no marketing dollars behind that album…no money for videos or for a promo tour. They left me to die. But that doesn’t take away from it being a good album.” (VIBE)

Yesterday, Joe’s rap rival 50 Cent mocked the new album with a video.

“I just listened to Fat Joe’s record and this is all I have to say.” 50 then puts up a copy of Fat Joe’s Darkside, Volume 1 which has an animated smiley face crying with tears pouring down its face. “I didn’t mean to do this to you Joe.” 50 then proceeds to mock his rap rival with footage of a woman and men crying, all taken from different sources. The video concludes with a message reading: “Only 5,000 copies sold…d*mn Joe!” (This Is 50)
