Fat Joe Reveals “Hit Making” Strategy, “If I Stood In The Studio I’d Be Invincible” [Video]

Fat Joe recently spoke with radio personality Angie Martinez about his upcoming album Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 saying more time in the studio could make him “invincible.”

The Bronx, New York-bred emcee described his work and touring ethic upon releasing new projects.

“I’ll tell you one thing that’s even scarier and I don’t want America to shoot me when I walk down the street, my work ethic, I put an album together then I go tour the rest of the year or I do whatever else,” Joe explained. “If I stood in the studio like some of these rappers all day, it’d be invincible. I swear to you, I would have 20 number one hits in a year…If I stood there, eight months in the studio sleeping, it’d be scary for a lot of Americans out there…It’s not too many artists that can be here for 15 years coming every single year with a hit record…regardless if I sell a million or don’t sell a million, we love music and I put it up every year. Joey Crack previously spoke with radio host Jenny Boom Boom about his new album’s motivation.

The album will be in stores April 7,” he said. “I’ve just been making that hit mania…It just feels big. My first album Jealous Ones Still Envy was my biggest album and I haven’t did no album to this day that I felt I made music as big as that. So I just went hit mania on this one right here. It feels great.” (Jenny Boom Boom)

Fat Joe’s ninth solo album is set to feature a variety of artists and producers.

Joe’s new project will have guest appearances by Ron Browz, Fabolous, Lil’ Kim, T-Pain, Lil’ Wayne, Raekwon, Akon along with production from Jim Jonsin, The Incredibles and The Street Runners. Cuts from the album include “One” and “Winding On Me.” (Market Watch)

The Terror Squad leader’s latest effort will drop via EMI Music.

“We are thrilled to be backing Fat Joe’s latest creation and continuing EMI’s relationship with him,” said Dominic Pandiscia, senior vice president and GM of EMI Label Services. “He’s a significant musical and cultural force whose appeal cuts across so many different genres and fans. This is a great record and the response is terrific.” (Press Release)
