Fat Joe Admits “Biggest” Regret Is Not Signing Eminem: “He Gave Me So Many Demos”

Terror Squad leader Fat Joe recently revealed he missed out on an opportunity to sign music mogul Eminem prior to his Shady Records success.

According to Joey Crack, he had an opportunity to add Slim to TS back in the day.

“Man I got so many regrets. The biggest is that Eminem gave me so many demos – six different times he approached me and I didn’t sign him. Shame on me.” (SCMP)

Joe also talked about his music career lasting over 20 years.

“To have so many years in the rap industry and so many number one songs, and sold so many millions of records, introduced the world to people like Cool & Dre, DJ Khaled, Pitbull, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Remy Ma, Big Pun, Rico Love… I could go on and on. Having been able to influence the rap game for so long is very important to me.” (SCMP)

Back in June, Fat Joe reunited with former Terror Squad member Remy Ma at radio station Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert.

Last fall, Remy dished on the importance of putting out a record with Fat Joe again.

“Yes, I’ve been speaking to him. We’re trying to find a record we’re going to do together. I told him it has to be big,” Remy said referring to Fat Joe. “After the last record we did together was ‘Lean Back,’ we can’t just throw anything out there. We’re working on that together. I’m just glad we’re in the space where we can call each other, I can call him. He gives me advice like, ‘I think you should do this with your hair. I think you should do this with your clothes.’ But it’s cool. It was actually good advice. I listen to him. I spoke to him and he was like, ‘You took my advice, huh?'” (“Sway In The Morning”)
