The craziest thing that Mr. Jones has told me thus far was that I’m the one.

I don’t know what he meant by that but he told me that I was the one. This was via email, this wasn’t in-person and he sent it with an exclamation mark after that.

I don’t know what he meant by that, but that was by far the craziest thing Nas has told me. Other than that, he told me I was gonna part the game like the Red Sea, like Biblical references.

But that’s Nas, he’s God’s son, he can do that. I think those two moments, I just couldn’t believe they were coming from this man towards myself.

I was in the studio at the time, like in the studio in Fresno, where I do a lot of my features at, it’s like a basement in every sense of the word. I was just in the basement playing a record for my friends and my family.

Then I got this email at 12am, or 11pm that basically just stopped the whole studio session that was going on, it basically just stopped time. “Everyone just read this real quick!” It was a crazy moment, it definitely felt like time stopped and I was like, ‘Are they really going to let me in the rap game, even though I felt like I’ve earned my stay, when a rap god says some sh*t like that, it’s like damn.

This is a brother from the era of Pac and Big, for him to say something like that solidified my mission in rap on that level. -As Told To SOHH writer Nikita Rathod

The Ecology is slated to hit stores in the coming months.
