Platinum-selling rapper Fabolous recently spoke about his upcoming album Loso’s Way confirming guest appearances by The-Dream and Floetry‘s Marsha Ambrosius.
The rap star also revealed the names of a few songs from his forthcoming solo project.
Fab has a track called “Stay,” dedicated to his one year-old son. It features Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry. “[Dream] got a record on the album, too,” Fab said in an interview. “We got a joint called ‘Throw It In The Bag.’ Disgustin’. This is like the ladies anthem for like, times ten. It’s like ‘Whatever You Like’ on steroids. Just throw it in the bag, like, what price tag?” (MTV News)
The Street Fam rapper has yet to offer a confirmed release date but previously said his album would drop next month.
“It’s coming out, I think March,” Fab said in an interview with Joe Budden. “I wanna say March. They trying to rush it to February.” (Joe Budden TV)
Fab recently revealed producers he’s worked with and the main concept behind the album.
“I went down to Atlanta and got with a couple people,” he said. “I went with Jermaine Dupri. I got with [DJ] Toomp. Jim Johnson…It’s sorta a concept album. What I themed it behind was Carlito’s Way because I liked the movie. It was a classic movie. What I wanted to do with that movie is take principles from that movie [like] how Carlito was a street dude coming outta jail and trying to do something better. (Real Talk NY)
The upcoming LP will follow-up 2007’s gold-selling From Nothin’ to Somethin’.
Def Jam — which signed Fabolous after sending Musiq to Atlantic in a unique trade situation — released From Somethin’ to Nothin’ (2007). The album debuted at number one on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart (number two overall) and spawned a series of singles, including the Top Ten hit “Make Me Better” featuring Ne-Yo.
