Although he has not confirmed an exact release date, Fab discussed the project’s overall theme.

“The next album is Loso’s Way 2,” Fab said in an interview. “I’m putting that together now. I like to sit down with the whole scheme of things and see how I’m gonna present it. The subtitle is gonna be ‘Rise To Power.’ I think that’s appropriate coming off the year I had, and the fact that I’m taking that next step…I still feel like I’m telling my story. I’ve been consistent, I’ve had hit records, but I don’t feel like I’ve peaked. There’s still things to come and the end of the story’s not here yet. Part of leaving your legacy is not worrying what everyone is saying about it. It’s always gonna be people who’s sleeping…Things get overlooked and people put you in a box, but I’m not here to prove something to anybody. I’ll try to connect with those who don’t recognize, but that’s not the goal of my whole career.” (Complex)

Recently, Fab said he wanted to put the solo effort out in November.

“I’m trying to get it out there for Thanksgiving,” Fab revealed in a May interview with radio host Tim Westwood. “I think Thanksgiving will be a great time. I’m just grabbing up all the beats. Once I get all the bones of it, I can just lay the skin right on top of it. I kinda got where the concept of where I want to go with it but I just got to find the music to pull it all together. I’ve got about 12 beats right now, looking for maybe about four more. And I worked with more young, hungry producers this time. Last time I had a lot of big features and producers but this time I wanted to shake the chemistry up a little bit…” (Tim Westwood TV)

Last December, Fab initially said the project could drop sometime in the second quarter.

“I’m looking to come next summer,” Fab said of the album’s release date. “I like summer releases. It’s good timing. People are out, a lot of people need good music to ride to. I’m looking towards June or July again and come with Loso’s Way 2.” As of now, the roll-out for the original Loso’s Way is still underway. Fab wants to release viral visuals for “Lullaby,” “Last Time” and “Makin’ Love,” while a clip “I’mma Do It” hit the ‘net a few weeks ago. (MTV)

The rapper’s last album, Loso’s Way, debuted atop the charts in August 2009.

Fabolous’ highly-anticipated Loso’s Way album landed on top of all releases this week securing No. 1. According to Nielsen SoundScan, F-a-b-o’s fifth solo project was able to scoop up 99,000 sold discs after seven days in stores making it the number one album in the country. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
