Fabolous Gives Big Tease Days Before Baring His Soul [Video]

Days away from its release, Brooklyn rapper Fabolous has decided to up the anticipation for his Soul Tape 3 mixtape by releasing an 80-second teaser.

In the clip, Loso gives his hometown some love with candid shots of New York City.

As snow falls over NYC, Fabolous debuts the black-and-white trailer for his mixtape Soul Tape 3. He shows shots of his hometown, from the Brooklyn Bridge to Brevoort Houses to Times Square, while a new AraabMuzik-produced song plays in the background. The third installment in his Soul Tape series drops Christmas Day featuring Mack Wilds, Stacy Barthe, Jeremih, and Estelle. According to Fab, it will probably be his last. “You give ‘em the trilogy and you move on to a new series,” he told Revolt TV. Pharrell will also have a hand in his upcoming album Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power, due in 2014. (Rap-Up)

Just in time for the holidays, Loso announced a Christmas Day release for the project earlier this month.

“S O U L T A P E 3 12.25.13 12:25pm #SoulTape3 #MyGiftToYou,” Fab posted onto Instagram with a photo of the project’s cover art December 9. (Fabolous’ Instagram)

Last month, buzz about Loso releasing another addition to his Soul Tape series surfaced.

Fabolous has been pretty quiet this year, only dropping a few songs and appearances. However tonight he went on Instagram to drop a video that all but confirms that there will be a new entry in his “Soul Tape” series of mixtapes coming before this year is out. Rapping over an instrumental for Drake’s “Paris Morton Music 2″ Fab gives an enticing preview of what is to come. Could this hold the fans over until the release of his new album? Only time will tell. (Complex)

Initial plans were for Fab’s new album to arrive nationwide in mid-June.

Fabolous stopped by BET’s 106 & Park on Wednesday afternoon to world premiere his video with Chris Brown, “Ready.” Loso explained the video’s concept, and filming it in the Dominican Republic. The Brooklyn spitter used the appearance to announce his Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power album will hit shelves on June 18. When touching on features, Fab says to expect Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Rick Ross, Future, Young Jeezy, plus a few more surprises. (Miss Info TV)
