Brooklyn rap veteran Fabolous recently talked about performing at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert last month and how he hones the “King of New York” title.
Reflecting on his star-studded Summer Jam set, which included a slew of New York veteran acts, Loso gushed over the iconic moment.
“”It was crazy, man. That’s a lot of people to deal with. That’s a lot of camps. That’s a lot of time, having to fit. Summer Jam gives you a certain amount of time. But we went really smooth.” (MTV)
Fab also touched on the “King of New York” title and how much late rapper Notorious B.I.G. put on for their city.
“I’m not aiming for any kind of recognition. I’m just doing what I do. But it’s great that you can get a title of such that isn’t, in this day, self-proclaimed. It’s something that the people actually [say]. That’s always dope. I just try to do things for the city as a whole, to bring dope stuff back to New York – [Biggie] embodied it, too. He represented New York fully. When you saw him out, he always screamed ‘Brooklyn.’” (MTV)
Loso has kept busy this summer after recently welcoming a second child with celebrity girlfriend Emily B.
Fab and Emily took to their Instagram pages to announce their second child together last month.
