Fabolous Beats Up Chris Brown’s Bad Guy Image: “Even Rihanna’s Moved On”

Brooklyn rapper Fabolous recently discussed his bond with R&B singer Chris Brown and said despite his horrific incident with reunited girlfriend Rihanna four years ago, the media should lay off him.

In Loso’s perspective, Chris Breezy has learned from his mistakes and even pointed out how RiRi has let him back into her life.

“I can’t wager my friendship on a public or media persona of him,” Fabolous told us at Barbounia during a lunch for Respect magazine. “Those people who have bad reputations, of course you wouldn’t want to be around. But I don’t believe he’s a bad person. I believe, even if you’re looking at the situation with Rihanna, things happen and you move on.” Adding, “Whatever happened in the past is the past . . . even Rihanna’s moved on. The public has perceptions of people off of what they see, not what they know.” Brown is featured on “Really” on Fabolous’ new album “Loso’s Way II.” (New York Post)

Fully behind Breezy/RiRi being back together, West Coast rapper Game spoke on their publicized reunion a few months ago.

“Yeah, that’s like a little brother of mine,” Game told radio jockey Howard Stern when asked about Chris Brown. “I did the best that I could to counsel him through that and I feel like he made it back okay. And they’re back together and what I thought of it? I just thought they were young and that was just one of those Hollywood mishaps. I don’t think it’ll happen again. … [If he was dating my daughter and smacked her up like that, would he be alive today?] Uh, eh, let’s not paint that picture. [He would not be alive.] Yeah, that’s Howard talking. Are you trying to get me to kill Chris Brown, man? That’s not gonna happen, Howard. That was pretty clever though.” (Howard TV)

Just last week, Brown spoke on the February 2009 attack and said the R&B diva had forgiven him.

Exhibit A: R&B star Chris Brown says he’s worked hard and persuaded pop-star Rihanna to forgive him and love him again, even though he beat her up in 2009 and may still be on the hook for charges in the case. London’s The Mirror tabloid is reporting today that he granted a “searingly honest” interview to a Mirror scribe in which he apologized, again, held up the assault as the “biggest mistake” of his life, and acknowledged that winning Rihanna back took months of “serious making up.” “But she loves me — what can I say? I’m forgiven … but, yes, I worked hard for it,” he told reporter Clemmie Moodie on Sunday at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar-watching party. (USA Today)

Despite being back together, Rihanna recently said Brown no longer has the luxury of messing up twice and getting away with it.

“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world,” Rihanna says. “You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about sh*t. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.” And Rihanna says that if Brown were ever to display a hint of his past behavior towards her, she is ready to walk. “He doesn’t have the luxury of f*cking up again,” she says. “That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.” (Rolling Stone)
