Prosecutor Joe Deters credited the officer’s body camera for proving DuBose’s innocence.
Tensing killed DuBose, 43, in a July 19 traffic stop captured on by a police body camera. He said DuBose tried to pull away and he was dragged, but footage shows he shot DuBose in the head without provocation, Hamilton County Joe Deters said. “I’m treating him like a murderer,” Deters said.
