[With boxing receiving full attention thanks to Jay Z’s Roc Nation boxing series and a highly-anticipated Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao bout, fighter Ray Edwards is open to new partnerships.]

I’m open to all companies. Right now, everything I do is funded by myself. I’m not signed to no promoters or manager. If they give me a deal that I can’t refuse, [there’s a chance].

If they’re willing to work with me, I’m not looking to be the head honcho. I love partnerships, that’s how you do what I’m going to do with my boxing career, which is help my community and build up the younger generations.

I want to establish something that isn’t relying on being government-funded and having a place where kids can go and study, play and be kids.

A lot of things I remember growing up, D.A.R.E., there’s no more of that. There’s no people coming in and speaking to you. Having a great partnership with someone is what I’m looking for.
