Ex-Bad Boy Ma$e Catches Massive Backlash, Accused Of Living A Double Life

Things are still hot and heavy for ex-Bad Boy Records star Ma$e as reports claim he is being targeted by worshippers over investing equal time into religion and making controversial rap tunes.

Details of Mason Betha’s woes have started to circulate across the Internet this week.

Some of the worshipers tell TMZ … they believe Mase is living a double life, spending as much time in the studio with hardcore rappers as in the church. And they say his messages from the pulpit drip in hypocrisy, because what he raps about is exactly the opposite. One of the things that set parishioners off … the TMZ story that Mase — who built both his church and his fortune on his marriage — secretly filed for divorce in January and then withdrew the legal docs a few weeks later. To make matters even worse, Ma$e could be hit financially over the outcome of this situation.

Some of the parishioners tell us Mase has been going on and on about the virtues of marriage even after the TMZ post, never addressing his own failures … and they’re fed up. There’s talk now about refusing to fund the church … that’s how bad things have become. And something new to piss off worshipers … Mase is featured on a new song — “Tricky Situation” — about a man who brags about banging a woman who’s already engaged. (TMZ)

Days away from New Year’s Eve, Betha unleashed his “Why Can’t We” song.

After a lengthy hiatus from the music, Ma$e has released a new song called “Why Can’t We.” He shouts out Drake and Kanye West in the beginning the song, acknowledging the fact that both artists are huge fans of his style. He then proceeds to spit two verses with references ranging from 2Pac to Toni Kukoc. “Why Can’t We” is a smooth, signature Ma$e song with female vocals that are currently credited to “Her.” The song will appear on the Harlemite’s upcoming project, Now We Even. In October, Ma$e resorted to his Instagram page to break the news of a follow-up project to 2004’s Welcome Back LP.

“No abbreviations use #NOWWEEVEN that’s the only conversation I’m having. y€$ #NOWWEEVEN is the album title… Lets make it happen!!! Right now I’m listening to all my early freestyles & songs… This got to be something special. A couple free shows & visits #NOWWEEVEN.
