Details on the lawsuit hit the Internet Wednesday (September 1) night.

Fifty-one-year-old Francesca Spero filed the age discrimination lawsuit Wednesday in federal court in Manhattan. The lawsuit says the Malverne resident introduced Combs to hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and Uptown Records after meeting Combs in 1988. It says she worked at Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment record label as an executive for 12 years before being fired in March. The lawsuit says Spero was fired after having hip surgery and confiding to an executive that she was treated for a drug dependency relapse. (Associated Press)

Additional reports claim Bad Boy hired a younger replacement for Spero.

She was eventually replaced by a woman at least 10 years her junior, who she claims ‘lacked the skill set and experience Spero brought to the position’. Spero claims Diddy and his partners owe her $US 12 million in damages for age and disability discrimination. (Big Pond News)

A representative for Diddy has acknowledged the suit and released a statement.

The lawsuit says she was fired after hip surgery and confiding to an executive that she was treated for a drug dependency relapse. A publicist for Combs released a statement saying “there are many reasons why Ms. Spero is no longer employed by Bad Boy, but age discrimination is not 1 of them.” (WCAX News)

Aside from Bad Boy employees, Diddy recently denied ever being involved in any wrongdoing with his artists.

“There’s an off perception that needs to be addressed about me that I have ever robbed somebody or mistreated somebody. Or tried to be ruthless or whatever in this game. Like, all this year I’ve heard people say, ‘Where’s Carl Thomas, where’s Black Rob, where’s G.Dep? Where are these artists?’ And for some reason they go ahead and equate that, cause those artists aren’t with me, that I’ve done something wrong or malicious or conniving. It’s something that I do have a problem with because they don’t have no proof that I’ve ever done nothing like that.” (Rap Radar)

No further details have been revealed as of now.
