Prior to receiving a retweet by Jim Jones himself, Estelle took to Twitter and gave her co-sign to the two lovebirds.

“I’m so proud of @jimjonescapo and @chrissylampkin Thats right! Go head and #behappytogether God Bless em man…,” she tweeted January 3rd. (Estelle’s Twitter)

On Monday night’s episode, Jones surprised Lampkin by flying down to Miami and proposing.

Rapper Jim Jones has become engaged to his girlfriend of seven years. The hip-hop star popped the question to his longtime partner Chrissy Lampkin at a restaurant in Miami, Florida and the proposal was shown on U.S. reality TV show Love and Hip-Hop. After accepting a ring from the star, Lampkin told viewers, “The fact that my Jimmy knew that it was the right time to do things, it’s priceless.” (National Ledger)

Prior to Jones popping the question, Lampkin lounged with cast members and questioned her relationship with the rap star.

The Harlem rap star proposed to Lampkin, putting her at ease after several episodes showed the couple arguing over the matter and even looking over engagement rings that went without being purchased. Lampkin was in Miami having dinner with her co-stars Teairra Mari, Emily and Olivia when Jones interrupted the ladies’ conversation to speak to his girlfriend privately. Taken aback, an outspoken Lampkin was not too thrilled with her man’s actions. (The Boom Box)

After season one premiered last year, Lampkin talked about proposing to Jimmy.

“I did it to let him know that I love him enough and I am proud and happy enough to display that to the world. That’s what that’s about. Eventually, we will get married. Am I rushing it? No. Of course people have opinions about me asking him to marry me, but I felt it was the right thing to do. I love him enough and I wanted to share that. It’s how I felt and what I wanted. You need to know what you’re doing with your life. You need to have direction. If that thing doesn’t happen the traditional way, it still needs to happen. So why waste your time? I figured I would cut to the chase. What are we waiting for?” (Necole Bitchie)
