Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s lyrics have reportedly landed a California teenager in police handcuffs.

According to reports, Slim Shady’s lyrics about a school massacre posted onto a 15-year-old’s Instagram sparked legal action Monday (August 31).

At Tuesday’s news conference – which was aired live on TV – Fresno police Chief Jerry Dyer initially attributed some of Eminem’s lyrics to the teen, saying the youth had added his own words onto the song. But Dyer later retracted that statement after it was discovered that the student’s entire post is part of a different Eminem song than the one police had identified initially. Eminem repeats similar lyrics in songs “Rap God” and “I’m Back,” which caused the confusion, Dyer said. (The Fresno Bee)

Em recently talked about using workout videos to stay in shape.

“So when I was starting to dial back on the treadmill, I tried out some of those workout DVDs you do at home. One of the first ones was Shaun T’s Insanity workout. I know a lot of these DVD guys are wacky, but I’m alone in my gym; I need someone on the TV yelling to motivate me. Besides, some of this sh*t is entertaining.” (Men’s Journal)

Slim Shady also revealed what daily workout he does before hitting the recording studio.

“Now every morning before I go to the studio, I do the Body Beast workout with free weights, bench, and pullup bar at home. It’s just me, so it helps that the Body Beast dude is over-the-top. The routine is pretty intense, too. The first time I did the legs, I couldn’t walk for two days. Now I’m doing arms one day, chest the next day, legs the next, and I’m still functioning throughout the day. And I can finally do it without pausing the DVD.” (Men’s Journal)

Shady recently talked about the success of longtime friend 50 Cent.

“With 50, I could always see that coming, even from the start. He was always so business-minded. He’s always been so in tune with what the next move is, where I may be — I hate to say it — but I tend to be more narrow-minded. Just so tunnel vision with the music.” (New York Times)
