Em’s tribute record for Proof, called “Difficult,” began circulating online Thursday (December 30) evening.

The track, entitled ‘Difficult’, emerged on various file-sharing websites on Thursday (December 30). The slow-beat track includes the lines: “Doody, most of my life it’s just been me and you ther, I continuously stare at pictures of you. “I never got to say ‘I love you’ as much as I wanted to, but I do, Yeah, I say it now when you can’t hear me. What the f*ck good does that do me now? But somehow I know you’re near me.” (Gigwise)

“Difficult” is reportedly just one of many other leaked Em records.

Tracks have been leaked since the end of November, however over the past few days three tracks have been leaked in full. One track called “Syllables” featuring Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Ca$his and Stat Quo, and “Cocaine” featuring Jazmine Sullivan (originally thought to be Alicia Keys) as well as a collaboration with Nas called “Topless”. Now more songs have been leaked via Twitter by the perpetrator @Not_Afraid2Leak. One song called “Difficult” which is about Proof, and another called “Fly Away” which is just a snippet at the minute. The full version is expected to be leaked soon and it also looks like there will be more to follow. (M Is For Music)

Em’s late friend Proof was murdered over four years ago in Detroit.

Born DeShaun Holton, Proof was shot dead on April 11, 2006 by a club bouncer after he also shot another man due to an argument over a pool game. Grief stricken, Eminem all but disappeared from the scene after the incident. Proof’s murder came at a time where Eminem’s fame and struggles with addiction seemingly began to swallow him whole; the rapper was considering retiring altogether in 2005. (Rap Fix)

Despite the leaks, Em’s new album Recovery has continued to flourish on the sales chart.

Grammy-winning singer Eminem’s Recovery received a 15-slot boost to No. 7 with 137,000. Heading into his 28th week, Slim Shady’s new album currently rests at 3,351,300 sold units. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
