Eminem has revealed that fans can expect to see a music video for “No Love,” his collaboration with incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne.
Em gave words of motivation to the rapper who is serving a one-year jail sentence.
“We got Wayne’s verse filmed before he went away luckily. Gotta shoot the rest of a “No Love” video real soon. Keep your head up Weezy!” (Eminem’s Twitter)
Their collaboration leaked on the Internet earlier this week.
Last night (June 7) “No Love,” a song from Eminem’s forthcomingRecovery set, leaked online. It features incarcerated rhymer Lil Wayne. Both spit venomous rhymes. I’ll get to those in a bit. More surprising is the beat their vocals are tracked to. Somehow producer Just Blaze transformed Haddaway’s 1993 pop dance track “What is Love” into a menacing cut with kicking bass. Despite Em’s Recovery album leaking in early June, the project will still drop on June 22.
Recovery, Eminem’s highly anticipated new album, leaked onto the ‘net on Monday night (June 7), close to two weeks before it’s official release date. But according to his publicist, Dennis Dennehey, the disc will not be pushed up. Dennehey confirmed with XXLMag.com that Shady’s sixth studio LP, is still set to hit stores on June 22, as planned. Shady’s longtime partner in rhyme, Royce da 5’9″, took to his Twitter account to comment on the event. “Eminem’s album leaked today… MC’s how do you feel about what you do,” he asked. (XXL Mag)
Wayne is currently serving time on a gun conviction.
Lil Wayne has been sentenced to a year in jail this March after pleading guilty in a New York City gun case. The Grammy Award-winning rapper was taken away in handcuffs to start serving his term immediately after his sentencing. He’ll serve his sentence in city jails, not a state prison. He could be released in about eight months with good behavior. (CBS News)
Recovery will be released Tuesday, June 22nd.
