Grammy-winning rapper Eminem surprised concertgoers at a Japanese show this week by bringing out longtime friend/super producer Dr. Dre to hit the stage with him.

At the event, the Doc performed a few of his records including “The Next Episode” alongside Slim Shady.

Eminem’s Japanese tour seems to be ringing off in Tokyo. Last night, Marshall rocked the QVC Marine Field and surprised the crowd with special guest Dr. Dre. As I expected the Japanese were singing along and losing their minds to Marshall’s live set without missing a beat. (Miss Info TV)

A day prior, Em reportedly brought out Slaughterhouse’s Royce Da 5’9 at a different venue.

This all went down just a day after Eminem’s show in Osaka, where he brought his Bad Meets Evil co-founder, Royce da 5’9″ onstage. Eminem’s whole Japanese tour is in support of his seventh album, Recovery, out now on Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. (Complex)

Along with performances, Shady also took part in a Beats By Dre event with the Doc in Japan.

It’s not often you get to see Eminem and Dr. Dre in the same room, but the hip-hop icons crossed paths overseas on Wednesday. Dre was at the Apple Store in Tokyo hosting a live fan consumer Q&A about his popular Beats by Dr. Dre headphones line. Slim Shady, who is also in Japan for his “Recovery” tour, stopped by to show support for his mentor. (Rap-Up)

Last month, the platinum-selling rapper promised Dre would clock in time for his Recovery album follow-up.

“Yeah, of course he’ll be involved,” he said. “I usually get going and kind of start going a certain direction and just record what I’m feeling. Then I’ll go see Dre and fill in some of those pieces.” (Shade 45)
