According to 50, additional guest appearances include Lil Kim and the Unit’s Lloyd Banks.

50 Cent stormed Sundance over the weekend to announce his latest film ventures. While there, he also shared some other exciting news, revealing that he’s reuniting with Eminem for his next album. “I just flew from Detroit. I’m working with Em on my new album,” 50 told a reporter during the Park City festival. The hip-hop mogul has already collaborated with an impressive cast for his fifthstudio album including Lil’ Kim, Akon, Swizz Beatz, Busta Rhymes, and Lloyd Banks. (Rap-Up)

Earlier this month, 50 updated fans on the status of his forthcoming solo project.

“Here I am I’m back did you miss me? I was working on the album today. I think I’m 80 percent done,” 50 tweeted Saturday (January 15). (50 Cent’s Twitter)

In November, 50 spoke on the significance of dropping a perfect follow-up to 2009’s Before I Self Destruct.

“What [fans] are hearing are just my ideas,” Fif said in an interview. “This is my Detox album, it may take ten years and you gonna wait on it until it comes but when it do come, it’ll be perfect. I recorded 20 songs to a whole different album concept before I put that on the side and said I wanna do this, what I’m doing now. I’ma write until I feel like I have something perfect. I feel like music marks time and it’s important to put out the ‘right’ sound for that ‘right’ moment. Like my Curtis album, people said my Curtis album wasn’t good and it had ‘Ayo Technology,’ number one record on the album. It had ‘I Get Money,’ ‘I Still Kill’ featuring Akon, Robin Thicke, so many hit records on the actual album, I’m like, ‘What are you listening to?’ But I guess I look at it and say it’s timing…There’s nobody in hip-hop that possesses the ability to do what I do. I’m more exciting than these people. I genuinely believe that…” (MTV News)

Recently, 50 said he would take a different approach to completing collaborations for his latest album.

“I made collaborations [but] this time, I actually just wanted to create things and see if anything came out that I felt like otherartists should get on,” Fif explained in an interview. “My previous albums, I went in the studio with them — this time I’m making music and then trying to find ways to put them on the records. It’s more me even when it’s a collaboration. It’s them fitting into what I felt was right now as opposed to us making a total compromise.” (Maximo TV)

Since 50 Cent’s Get Right Or Die Tryin’ 2003 debut, Eminem has appeared on every solo LP released by the G-Unit leader.
