Sweatshirt broke the news to his Twitter followers Tuesday (July 8) afternoon.

“I sincerely apologize to any of y’all who planned to see me at these next couple festival dates. Due to lack of self maintenance …..,” ES tweeted July 8.

“i had to press eject on the tour. I am physically and mentally at the end of my rope. I weigh a fraction of what I’m supposed to ….”

“and without synergy between the body and mind there is nothing. no point in performing if it’s not the best show I can give every time.”

“”the least and the best””

“now that I am home I can get healthy and get this album out to y’all while it’s still fresh.” (Earl Sweatshirt’s Twitter)

In the past, Earl talked about hooking up with Odd Future leader Tyler, the Creator for a joint effort.

“We’ll do the record when we’re ready to sit down for a month and a half and do it in one. It’d be sh*tty if it was spread out. That’s how I want to do shit from now on; that’s what I learned from doing ‘Doris’. Trying to piece sh*t together that’s hella spread out kinda sucks. You hit a lot more walls trying to make it sync.” He also insisted that things were “cool” with Odd Future, despite various members of the rap collective branching out to work on different projects, and said that he and his bandmates “still have the OF pillow to fall back on”. Last summer, the Odd Future duo were spotted overseas performing at public venues.

The Odd Future gang take their antics abroad with behind-the-scenes footage of Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt’s opening performance for Eminem at Slain Castle in Ireland. The 5-minute clip features the OFWGKTA kids getting the Irish audience to recite a raunchy line from Sweatshirt’s ‘Molasses,” spotting Black people in the crowd and stanning for Eminem. (VIBE)

Tyler kept busy last year by helping contribute to Earl’s Doris album.

“IVE HAD DORIS FOR A WEEK AND I LIKE IT. ALOT. I HAVE THE WEAKEST BEATS ON THERE TBH,” Tyler tweeted July 12.

“THE INTRO TO DORIS IS EPIC. TO ME AT LEAST” (Tyler, the Creator’s Twitter)
