Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green‘s publicized Michigan arrest could reportedly cost him a shot at competing in the summer Olympics.
According to reports, the NBA champion’s misdemeanor assault case is currently being reviewed by USA Basketball.
“USA Basketball is aware of this news,” the organization said in a statement Monday. “At this point, we are collecting all related information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation.” (The Detroit News)

The details of Green’s arrest are unknown at this time. An online document released Monday afternoon from 54B District Court confirmed Green’s arrest at 2:28 a.m. on July 10 in East Lansing. He is scheduled to be arraigned by July 20. (MLive)
Additional reports claimed the incident stemmed from an altercation with another man.
“It was basically an altercation between two guys,” police said. “There’s no injuries. He was released with a $200 bond on Sunday.” In a statement, the Warriors said they are “aware of news” involving Green. “At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation,” the team said.
