Young Money's Drake is no longer satisfied with making radio anthems as he has now opened up about plans to resurrect his acting career with help from talent agency William Morris, home to actors such as Bill Cosby, Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker.

Having just appeared in multiple “Saturday Night Live” sketches over the weekend, Drizzy said he is ready to take on more onscreen roles.

Drake isn’t just all talk either, as the rapper told MTV News that he recently partnered with talent agency William Morris to help resurrect his career in front of the camera. “We’re just building up our relationship, so I’m excited to get back into it. I found a home and I feel very proud of where I’m at and I’m excited to move forward and start getting back out there, man,” he admitted. “Whatever projects there are available, I’m down.” (MTV)

Saturday night, Drizzy got a chance to appear in various “SNL” skits.

In the first of his comedy bits, the Young Money rapper appeared in one of SNL cast member Andy Samberg‘s “digital shorts,” playing himself in a series of bizarre celebrity interviews. There was “An Extremely Brief Interview With Drake,” “An Extremely Close Interview With Drake” and “An Extremely Sarcastic Interview With Drake,” in which Samberg used scare quotes when referring to his guest as a “musician.” Appearing later on the show’s ‘Weekend Update’ segment, Drake and cast member Jay Pharoah portrayed knucklehead teenagers dressed as werewolves. Fond of stealing candy from kids on Halloween, the two performed a rap song celebrating “bag jacking,” their thuggish hobby. “Watch out, because like Republicans, I’m behind the bushes,” Pharoah rapped, dropping one of the funnier lines. “I would trick or treat, but I’m too old now, so I snatch your bag so I don’t look like a pedophile,” Drake added later. Last year, Drake’s manager Cortez Bryant discussed his client’s aim to take on non-traditional acting roles.

“We wanna start entertaining these movie offers,” Bryant said in the summer of 2010. “Drake is looking to come out with the role no one else expects. He’s not gonna be the teen heartthrob or the college kid. He wants roles where he can show his acting skills. Like a sci-fi or action picture.” (VIBE)

In 2010, Drake opened up about his disappointment in movie role offers.

“That’s probably my biggest goal is to get back into acting and really pick the right projects,” he said in an interview. “I’ve been reading different scripts but I know what I want to do and what type of project I want to be involved in and I’ve just been getting the typical projects that they’d offer to a new rapper, and it’s like, ehh. That’s not really what I want to do, or how I see myself…I can actually act. I’ve studied acting. I’ve studied the craft and I’m also very open to receiving a role and committing my time whether it’s two weeks, a month, two months, before the movie starts shooting to really get into that role. Like I know what it is to do character research and really live as someone else in preparation for a movie, so that’s something I’m willing to do. I care about acting a lot so I’m excited to get back into it.” (XXL Mag)

To date, Drake has acted in Canadian-based television show “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and a 2007 film called Charlie Barlett.
